Community Yoga Class for Palestine

Community Yoga Class for Palestine

This month's yoga class at WTH Community Space aims to raise money for Al-Jawad Camp, a school and collective supporting displaced Gazans, and raise awareness for those affected by war and genocide.

As part of International Day of Yoga, we will gather in community and use our yoga practice as a means of offering care, compassion, healing, and advocating for a free Palestine and a peaceful and just world.

This class invites everyone to carve out space to move, breathe and be still together, to cultivate a loving-kindness toward self and to others.

We will practice pranayama (breathwork), asana (physical postures), moving meditation, and relaxation to finish. We move gently at a slow and steady pace.

We aim to create a safe and supportive environment where we can recentre and connect with our bodies and minds. Join from a chair or mat. Move with us or stay in child’s pose for the whole time. This class is an opportunity to listen in and make adjustments that suit your body and mood.

We welcome donations to this brilliant cause. Either bring cash or a phone to donate to the GoFundMe page.

Bring your own mat and any props you might need.

Join us for a tea/coffee and chat in the cafe afterwards.
